Who Are We?

We are the Freeskier Society at the University of Utah, the largest and oldest club on campus. We exist on campus to help students get involved with the local Utah ski community and help students get out on the mountains for reasonable prices. During the fall we host various on campus events like yard games, wax nights, backcountry know before you go’s and plenty more to get students who love the mountains together and stoked for the upcoming ski season. During the season you can find us at all of the Ikon resorts skiing and riding together and tailgating in the parking lots giving away gear from our sponsors!

Meet the Officers

  • Aidan Larsen

    President
    Hi I am Aidan and I am studying graphic design at the U! Most of the time you can find me searching for power the bird but I also love playing my guitar and watching football. In the summer I like playing golf and looking for some tasty waves back home on Long Island New York.

  • Karina Illingworth

    Vice President
    Hey folks, I'm from Seatle and am in my final year at the U. I enjoy skiing wherever I am but especially at Solitude, where I instruct, as well as Snowbasin for some nice long runs. I am majoring in psychology and human development, but I am really just here for the skiing. I am excited for another year on freeskier and I am hoping to bring y’all some fun events, especially wax nights.

    Hi I’m Jacobi. I’m a super senior majoring in emergency medical services with a minor in occupational safety and health. I am the money manager and spring break specialist of the team. I’m stoked for this ski season and to being the stoke to fellow students as well.

    I’m Alex, going into my senior year. I love skiing because it combines my passion for the outdoors with the thrill of chasing big mountain lines and exploring new terrain. My favorite place to ski is Brighton, especially on deep days with friends.

    I’m from North Carolina. I’m a senior studying Recreational Therapy. I love to snowboard, especially in fresh pow! My goal is to learn how to ski :)

    Hi I'm Tal and this is my second year as an officer! I’m from Colorado and I came to Utah to go to school for architecture. I love skiing and rock climbing, as well as pretty much everything else outdoors.
