Who Are We?

We are The Freeskier Society at the University of Utah. The largest and oldest club on campus. We exist on campus to help students get involved with the local Utah ski community and help students get out on the mountains for reasonable prices. We host events with prominent ski companies like TGR and Faction to get students who love the mountains together and stoked for the upcoming ski season.

Jacobi - President

Hey! I’m Jacobi. I’m from Boise, Idaho. I was raised in ski school and ended up instructing at Brighton. I hold my Level 2 Alpine and Level 1 Children’s specialist from PSIA. Besides that, I strive to change the snowsports industry to make it as inclusive and accessible as possible. Hit me up if you want to know what it’s like to have one of the best jobs on the mountain or if you want to work on your skiing.

Kate - Vice President, Social Media

Hey, I’m Kate! I am from Boone, NC and I’ve been skiing my whole life. I am a ski instructor at Snowbird and have a passion for getting more people involved with skiing. I’m stoked to meet you all and for the sick events we’ve got planned! I hope to see y’all out there!

I spend most of my ski days at Brighton so feel free to say hi if you see me there! Also, please send funny homemade ski videos to the free ski society insta.

Hi I’m Wiley! I’m from Boone, North Carolina and have been skiing since I was about 3 years old. I used to race but I now mostly ski park, all mountain and occasionally get into the backcountry. Can’t wait to get back on the hill this season and look forward to seeing you there!

Stoked to meet all you guys!

Ginny - Graphic Design

Hi! I’m Ginny, currently a senior in the Graphic Design program. I’m from a small town in East-Central Texas and grew up in and around Little Cottonwood Canyon. Creating art and skiing are inspired/motivated by the mountains that I’m surrounded by, and I’m stoked to put my passions together as an officer for Freeskier Society.
