The UFS graphic design crew has managed to do it again. We managed to make a rad new shirt with an almost unreadable title that will lead to hundreds of questions from random strangers staring at your chest. Freaks. My eyes are up here.

The good news is we decided to make the girly cursive F on the back of the shirt pink on some of the designs so people wouldn’t get confused and think it stood for ‘Female’.

On December 14, 2008, one year ago, UFS member Heather Gross was caught in an inbound avalanche while skiing on North Baldy at Snowbird. She died later that day at the University of Utah hospital from injuries sustained during the avalanche. UFS remembers Heather and the enthusiasm she had for our sport.

This is one of those events that you won’t want to miss. Field Productions has been making solid ski movies for the past few years. Anyone who came to their movie last years knows that Field Productions always has amazing footage, amazing editing, and even better skiing!

Eric Hjorleifson and Tom Wallisch will both be at the movie to sign autographs. There will be free Pizza and a bunch of other free stuff.

UFS and Ride The Planets Productions proudly present: “Can’t Stop” featuring Sammy Carlson and Friends.

This is an awesome ski movie straight out of France. Ride The Planets followed professional skier Sammy Carlson to many different locations around the globe in order to film some of the most progressive skiing to date. On their way they met up with skiers Antoine Montant, Willie Borm, and Mike Henituk who absolutely kill it with Sammy C.

The Utah Freeskier Society is proud to present TGR’s new film “RE:SESSION”

This is going to be one of the sickest movie premiers of your life! Come meet some of the pros in the movies. Come meet some of the sponsors to the films. Get some free SWAG. But most of all, come watch some of the sickest skiing of the year on a GIANT MOVIE THEATER SCREEN with amazing sound and comfortable chairs. This is a huge upgrade from the normal viewing of a ski movie in a school auditorium or in your garage in front of your ski tuning table. Come watch all the skiing action at one of the best venues possible.

There will be a sick after-party that will be free for anyone with a ticket to the movie. A few DJs (including DJ Selleck) will be playing. There will be $2 PBRs and $3 Vodka Red Bulls. Remember, this after party is 21+ only.

All in all for your ticket you will get to see 2 sick ski movies in a giant movie theater. Meet a ton of athletes. And get an awesome after-party as well. This is an event not to be missed!

ONE NIGHT ONLY – This is the night to get all your new gear for the 09/10 season. Hard goods (i.e. skis, boots, bindings, etc) will be marked barely above proform. Access for this night is granted for UFS members ONLY. You don’t want to miss this event! Sports Den sales peeps will be there to assist you in your gear choice.
